I got involved in the Illinois Green Party a couple years ago, and we got the State’s first Green candidate on the ballot for Governor.  He didn’t win, of course, but it was an important and wonderful first step in helping to change the political stagnation facing our State and country.

For this year’s Presidential election, I admit I am an “Obama girl” – there is the hometown-hero loyalty, as well as that hope that this non-politician might make a few changes before becoming just another bureaucrat, changes in the way people view our political process if not real changes in the processes.
